We all struggle with managing kid clutter... the toys, papers and all the stuff that comes along with kids quickly ends up taking over our house. The tricky part is when we try to declutter and get rid of some of their toys and they suddenly love everything.
You know the toy they never play with is all of a sudden their long lost favorite toy...
The game they never play is now what they want to play tomorrow...
You end up in a no win situation when they refuse to get rid of anything and you desperately need to reduce the overwhelming clutter.
It's time to get creative to combat their stubborn antics to not let go of anything. Today, we go over a simple system to try in your home that involves the "I played with today" bin. It's the secret weapon to putting the ball in their court to choose what stays and what goes without them realizing.
Let me know how it goes so we can share your wins and other ideas on the podcast!
With bold love, peace and intention,
Julie

As a go-getter mom, we are always on the pursuit of being productive and getting things done. That lifestyle can be hard to keep up and be filled with added stress. So today, our guest joins in to bust the myth of motivation and what it really takes to see things through.
Also, a very important dive into the impact of stress. I learned a lot about stress and I know you will too. Especially the "if this, then that" strategy to combat stress and learn how to use it to our benefit.
Today is part 1 of the conversation with Julie Lowe because there was too much I didn't want you to miss and not take action on. Part 2 continues next Thursday...

It's that time to set expectations again with the start of a new month. We really take some time to realize the importance of setting expectations but the vital need to communicate those with our family.
This includes shared responsibility and hearing from our kids. (Your free kids lunch printable is below!)
Today we talk about our routines and finding the parts of our day that we may need to adjust our expectations. It's not ok to stay in frustration and resentment and think that's what motherhood has to be. We're here to be more intentional, make our lives easier and more impactful. We are being an example to our kids of what life looks like... so let's share that each person's perspective is valuable and we can work together through shared expectations to create a sustainable lifestyle.

The word systems can sometimes come across as a rigid method you follow... but in the life of a mom, it's simply a method to get stuff out of your brain and into a routine that makes your daily life easier.
Today is all about some practical ideas on how to get through each day successfully by identifying the transition periods of your day, preparing in advance, and giving your kids more responsibility. Our guest today shares all this and more:

Today I'm answering a listener question that I think we all have... how in the world are we supposed to work from home when we have kids?! A lot of moms have part-time jobs working at home. Which is great but it comes with a lot of challenges when you have little ones interrupting you constantly.
So I go over a sample schedule for the day to achieve that illusive work-life balance and allow you to get some work done. Some key takeaways to begin defining your daily routine-
1. How many hours do you absolutely have to work each day?
2. Create a list of independent activities for your kids so you're always ready with an idea and supplies
3. Choose the times of day that work best for you and your kids to get work done
4. Make your list of tasks for the next day each night to ensure a productive day
After today's episode you will have a game plan for getting your work done while also feeling like you're giving your kids plenty of attention.

Summer is ending and we will soon switch to fall. Let's not let the summer activities and supplies continue to invade our space into fall, ok? Or the Christmas books and activities take-up space in the middle of August?
All of these little things sneak their way into larger and larger amounts of clutter. Today's hack of using the seasons method will help you make decisions on what to do with all that miscellaneous kid stuff piling up around your house. There's a simple way to reduce the quantity of items and therefore the size of the messes without getting rid of anything.
Let's cleanup the seasonal stuff today...

Back to school time! With this comes the time to transition out of laid back summer mode and get into more of a structured routine. If you don't want to feel frantic in the mornings and evenings this year, then you need to listen all the way through today's episode.
I'm going to walk you through all the parts of the day so you can be ahead of the game and get your ideal routine figured out before you end up in survival mode. It's really important to use self awareness for you and your kids to decide what is going to work for everyone. Forcing the "best" routine on kids who don't operate that way is always going to lead to unnecessary stress...
You can download the school prep worksheet that goes along with today's episode. We cover morning wake up times, school lunches, picking out clothes, the mom schedule, after school, dinner plans, and bedtime routines. So I've got you covered, let's start building your routine!
